The Superior Audit Office of the Federation initiated an administrative investigation into the Executive Secretary of the State Public Security System (SESESP), Ricardo Jenny del Rincón, for a possible conflict of interest in the purchase of patrol cars for 49 million pesos from Premier Chevrolet, because one of the partners of the company is from the Coppel family and he worked for the Coppel group.
In October 2023, Ríodoce reported that in a bidding process, SESESP awarded a contract to Premier Chevrolet for the purchase of 45 patrol cars for the State Preventive Police and the Investigative Police for 47 million 76 thousand 923 pesos, but later a modification was made to buy two more patrol cars and the amount was increased to 49 million pesos.
The publication mentions that, according to the records of the Public Registry of Property and Commerce, Premier Chevrolet was owned by the then Secretary of Economy, Javier Gaxiola Coppel, and Rubén Eugenio Coppel Luken, who in turn is a shareholder of the Coppel group, and Jenny del Rincón had a business relationship with the Coppel company.
